CMC Arthritis/CMC Arthroplasty

The American Society of Hand Therapists outline below the explanation of CMC arthritis, a type of arthritis occurring at the base of the thumb. This type of arthritis is a condition commonly treated at Ability that may interfere with many daily activities such as gripping, pinching, or opening a jar. When you have pain in your thumbs, just about everything you do throughout the day becomes difficult if not impossible. Below they have listed common causes, symptoms and treatments of arthritis occurring at the CMC joint. The good news is that we can help! If you would like information about how our certified hand therapist can help you manage your CMC Arthritis so you can get back to your regular daily activities with less pain, please contact Ability Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation.
