Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

The American Society of Hand Therapists explains what cubital tunnel syndrome is as well as the common symptoms and treatments below. In this condition, the ulnar nerve becomes compressed, stretched, or irritated at the elbow, often due to overuse. This results in pain, numbness/tingling, and weakness of the arm and hand. Rehabilitation with a certified hand therapist is typically recommended, whether it is the first line of treatment or following surgical release of structures causing pressure on the ulnar nerve.
