Tennis Elbow

The American Society of Hand Therapists explain lateral epicondylosis, commonly known as tennis elbow, below. A common misconception is that you must have played tennis to incur this injury, however that is untrue! Tennis elbow presents itself as pain around the outer bony part of the elbow known as the lateral epicondyle. This results in pain during gripping and wrist motions and can make it difficult for you to complete many of your daily tasks. We typically see that the sooner you are able to start specialized therapy with a hand therapist or occupational therapist, the quicker your recovery will be.

For more information on how a certified hand therapist here at Ability Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation could help you manage your pain and functionality related to your tennis elbow, please contact us.
